The Pro-forma invoice is issued by the exporter to the buyer. After the goods are ready for the shipment the packing list is created by the exporter. This is a certificate which indicates the products origin i.e. where the product is from shipped or where it is manufactured and this certificate of origin is used in international trade.

Pro forma Invoice:

The Pro-forma invoice is issued by the exporter to the buyer and it carries the details of:

  1. Quantity

  2.  price per garment

  3.  Specification of both product and package

  4.  details of exporter and buyer

  5.  BOL number

  6.  Port destination etc…

The format may vary from country to country or the exporter use their own invoice form.

 

Export packing list:

After the goods are ready for the shipment the export packing list is created by the exporter and this is considered as first original document.

It carries the details of:

  1. order details

  2. Details of buyer and exporter

  3. Invoice number and date

  4. Total carton boxes

  5. garments in each carton box

  6. Date of sailing

  7.  Net weight

  8.  Gross weight

  9. Order number etc…

 

Certificate of origin:

This is a certificate which indicates the products origin i.e. where the product is from shipped or where it is manufactured and this certificate of origin is used in international trade. This certificate should be produced before clearance of goods and also customs may require this certificate. This certificate is issued by any authorized organization promoting exports and foreign trade.

It carries details of:

  1. Details of buyer and exporter

  2. Details of forwarding agent

  3. Bill of lading number or AWB number

  4. Port of loading

  5. Foreign Port of unloading

  6.  Place of delivery

  7. Pre-carriage details
